Pleasant Valley Living Center is an innovator in Elder Activity Programs. Our acting/marketing “company”- Active Elder Entertainment- is a fun, all inclusive group of Elders from our facility who entertain others with their wit and witticisms. Some members of the Active Elder Entertainment troupe recently starred in a movie! We also boast the Pleasant Valley Plant Hospital; here our Residents have an opportunity to serve the greater community by restoring plants to health, then donating them to charities all over the state. Additionally, we support important causes both financially and by sending out members of the Active Elders to cheer at events like Race for the Cure. We are also gold sponsors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation- because juvenile diabetes effects grandparents, too.

We host at least two scheduled activities per day, but, we also encourage Residents to stay active in their free time by providing an in house library, garden area, and other recreational outlets. Church services and prayer meetings are held several times a week. We have a wonderful couple who bring in therapy dogs twice a week, and then, of course, there is Big Money BINGO… (Residents play for free and can win $2 each game- very popular). Once a month we schedule a trip off campus, to eat and enjoy a day in the wider world. We do a weekly shopping trip, too. There is always something to do at P.V.L.C.!
